In Genesis 3:17-18 God puts a curse on Adam for disobeying Him: "Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it'; cursed is the ground because of you; with hard labor you shall eat from it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; yet you shall eat the plants of the field"
Then during the crucifixion of Christ: And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
I am not trying to make something weird out of this but it does make you think...
Tom,
You are getting deep with this. I will have to think on this one for a while. It is funny that you quoted Genesis 3, as my men's group last week focused on this chapter and those verses. I also had a discussion with a very good friend of mine about Genesis 3. I better dig in and read it tonight.
David
Nice... we need to talk again some time.
There are so many things similar to that kind of connection that are in the Bible, it takes reading through the whole Bible many times to connect the dots!
