Bio: Stauros is Greek for Cross. The band emerged in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Playing quality Christian heavy metal, the band completed 20 years of career in 2015 and recorded their first official DVD on September 25, 2015 in the city of Itajaí, Santa Catarina, where it all began.
Currently the repertoire is based more on the albums in Portuguese as "The Meaning of Life" and the EP "One Time Marks", and some of the classic albums recorded in English as "Adrift" and Seaquake". With seven albums recorded since 1996 the band has performed throughout Brazil with priority to carry the message of the cross.
"The Meaning of Life" is considered the first Brazilian Christian metal album. From it, Stauros quickly became one of the biggest bands in the country.
From 1997 to 2000 , the band released two albums for the label Gospel Records that were scattered throughout Brazil. This contributed a lot to the band playing at national level.
Currently, there are three members of the classic lineup "The Meaning of Life"; Renato, Alessandro and Celso.
