Collective Soul and Switchfoot have announced their summer tour starting in May. This is kind of odd because, Collective Soul is not a Christian band and Switchfoot has been known as Christian almost from the beginning. Lead singer Ed Roland and his brother rhythm guitarist Dean Roland, do have some Christian influences in their music as their father was a Baptist preacher, it shows up in their hit song "Shine"! This should be a very interesting combination of music!

Unfortunately, the lead singer from Switchfoot has gone woke...  :'(

Did you mean rogue? There are so many bands leaving their Christian beginnings these days!

I saw Switchfoot live several years ago. I always thought they were a christian band. They sounded good but never would have known they were christian by their show.

That's very unfortunate to hear about Switchfoot. I've never seen them live but I have seen their most popular "Meant to Live" played at some church events which was very enjoyable.

I've seen Christian musicians tour alongside non-Christian before such as Skillet. I had seen them and Red perform at a very largely secular event a few years ago here. Its interesting and I wouldn't mind hearing what their thoughts are about it sometime.

I actually saw Collective Soul live once in a small venue but have never seen Switchfoot other than their videos on JTV. I've heard their music over the years on many of the different Christian radio stations I've listened to. I only have one Switchfoot album.

As to what tom meant the only thing I could find about Jon Forman, was that he seemed to support the lifestyle of the singer Baldridge, a homosexual "Christian", which could simply mean we can love the unlovable, but not condone their lifestyle. We can pray for them to find Christ and give up their old self.
