On May 20, 2011 Mike Phillips announced that Deliverance was finally coming to end and would be performing their final show in August 2011. However, by July 2012, Deliverance had resurfaced again and been working on their tenth studio album Hear What I Say!, which was released on September 3, 2013 on Roxx Records.

This is supposedly the last album by Deliverance but... I have heard that before. So how does this latest and possibly last release stack up to the many releases by this power house band? Well let's see... or hear. Deliverance has changed styles many times over their career and though the earliest stuff is my favorite, I still enjoyed something on most of their other releases as well. Hear What I Say! is actually a mix of their many different albums and styles. Everything from the thrashy stuff that I love so much to the David Bowie-ish stuff that came out later is entwined in this release. "Angst" is my favorite song and it rocks! Mosh it up baby... and their cover of Maiden's "Where Eagles Dare" will melt your face. Now, this is definitely not my favorite Deliverance album but it is a solid album full of Deliverance. I do enjoy it and I have my favorite songs but a great last release by the band. It even has a song done in German. I do recommend this album and who knows, it may be their last... it may not.
