Reviews For "Into The After"
Great album

Visual Cliff's fourth album "Into the After" is out and I have the pleasure to review it. I really enjoy these guys and I'm very excited about this release. Once again Shane Lankford (Orphan Project) handles the vocals on about half of the songs and the other half are instrumental. Let's give it a spin; starting off with the first track, Empty Words, this is a nice groovin' tune with Shane's sporting the pipes. This is a great start to what I think is a great album. I like the feel of this song. My Guardian Angel is an instrumental that starts off with a really cool groove, then melts down into a nice slow, almost atmospheric sound before rolling back into the groove it started with. Very cool song. Broken Soul starts off with a nice hypnotic groove followed by the nice soothing voice of Mr. Lankford. This is a nice prog-rocker that is sure to please. Beyond the Gates is another Shane fronted tune with a very nice groove feel to it. This is a popular song here on the station and you'll understand why when you give it a listen. Sovereign Eyes is a nice instrumental. This song demonstrates the diversity of the band in that even though this band has a few shredders in it, the music demonstrates their talent not by just smoking the strings off of their axes, but by the flow and beauty of their music. 12 Stone Garden is another great rocker with vocalist Shane Lankford leading the way. This is one of my favorite songs. The Multitudes is another beautiful instrumental. The next song is Your Embrace which is a nice slow balladic tune with Shane once again at the front. Wind of the Spirit is another instrumental which seems to tell a story. The album ends with the song Separation, which features a little guitar virtuosity a la cart. Very cool song. Overall, this is another great album by a great band. This is an album that I'll put in, put the headphones on and just lose myself in. Great job!
