Album Info
Originally released during the golden era of Christian heavy metal, Legacy introduced listeners to one of Ohio's finest melodic metal bands. Formed in Columbus in 1987, Legacy quickly earned a reputation for powerful songwriting, soaring vocal melodies, and energetic live performances that placed them among the Midwest's premier Christian metal acts. The band shared stages with legendary artists including REZ, Shout, Sacred Warrior, Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart, and Allies, while also building a loyal following throughout the regional rock scene.
Influenced by bands like Stryper and Dokken while forging their own melodic identity, Legacy combined driving guitars, layered harmonies, memorable choruses, and lyrics centered on faith and hope. Although changing musical trends cut the band's original career short, their debut album remained a favorite among collectors of classic Christian metal.
This Expanded Reissue finally presents the album in its definitive form. The original recordings have been newly remastered to deliver greater clarity, depth, and impact while remaining faithful to the spirit of the original release. An all-new booklet expands the band's story with additional historical content and archival material, making this far more than a simple reissue.
Collectors will also appreciate the inclusion of three bonus tracks. The expanded edition adds the previously unreleased studio recording "You Need Love" along with two unreleased demo recordings, "Fear Of The Unknown" and "All The Pain And Tears," offering fans an even deeper look into Legacy's creative history.
Whether you're discovering Legacy for the first time or replacing an older copy, this Expanded Reissue represents the ultimate edition of a classic Christian melodic metal album and serves as the perfect companion to the band's triumphant return on Hello, New World.
