Live!

The concept for the Guardian Live record dates back to 1994, when Guardian opened for Steve Taylor as part of his Squinternational World Tour. Steve had arranged to have his record company advance him funds so that he could purchase a mobile recording rig that could be used to record live shows on the tour. As the tour progressed, Guardian forged a deeper relationship with Steve Taylor on that tour and ultimately asked him to produce their next album. Guardian thought that a mobile recording setup was a great idea and were able to negotiate a similar deal with their label. The recording equipment not only resulted in the Guardian Live album but also became the band's home base recording story and G-Man Records was then founded with Tony Palacios taking on chief recording and mixing duties, a craft he still masters to this day.
