Reviews For "Scandinavian Metal Praise"

First things first, this is not a compilation album! This is the name of the band. The first song on this CD is called "Great in power" and that is exactly how it starts, with a very raw and super tough riff! This is a female fronted band but there is nothing typical or stereotype about her vocal style at all. We are talking beautiful vocals that charge the atmosphere and fit in nicely. These are some of the best guitar riffs I have heard in a long time; I just love the raw tone on the guitar. The drummer and bass player have very good timing, they create a very nice, tight pocket that packs some serious thump! The great thing about these songs is that they are giving God all the Glory. These are praise and gospel songs done in a metallic style. I have heard many try to pull this style off with not a lot of success, but this is truly the best effort at "metal praise" I have ever heard! I can listen to this CD in my van on the way to church because it is universal in the fact that my 17 year old son digs it, my wife likes it, and my 7 year old son can sing to it; I can snap my neck to it and GRANDMA doesn't even mind!! Hallelujah! This CD is not just for entertainment purposes, If you indulge yourself in this album it can and will bring you closer to God. What an awesome combination. This CD is HIGHLY ANOINTED and highly recommended straight from the throne room of God. God is smiling on this band and their effort with this album and he will smile on you when you indulge yourself in this one, and start your own Scandinavian metal mosh pit!
