Released independently on June 5, 2012, The Army Marches is the first full length album by Death & Desire. The project took much longer to record than expected. Several start ups and restarts made this project a chore to complete. Eventually it became the product Death & Desire had hoped for, capturing the aggressive powerful nature of the live shows, with the depth and intimacy of the lyrical content. There are no filler songs on this album and is far from any cookie cutter rock we are all familiar with. Unique, but totally accessible... The Army Marches just may be the album missing in your music collection.

Lineup

Trevor LaChapelle - Lead Vocals/Guitars
Bill Wald - Bass/Vocals
Mark McDowell - Drums/Percussion/Electronics/Vocals

Reviews For "The Army Marches"

Another great new band.
by tombie on 9/14/2013

Hailing from Kansas City, Death & Desire is not your typical modern hard rock band. This 3-piece group is a force to be reconed with. What separates a great band from the entourage of active rockers today is song writing and D&D demonstrates that on their latest release, The Army Marches. Made up of Trevor LaChapelle, Jason Dewalt, and Mark McDowell, D&D puts their great song writing skills to work in 12 tracks of in your face rock. Trevor's vocals are very distinct and he has a really cool tone which blends nicely with the music throughout this album. The production is excellent and each instrument is mixed in just right. My personal favorite songs are "Discipline", "Make It Me", "The Army Marches", "Friends Forever", "Broken Fingers", and "Headwound". This is one of my favorite new bands this year and I look forward to hearing more in the future from these guys. Great band, great album, great songwriting... Get it today!
