The Rex Carroll Sessions

"Welcome to my coming out party! I've wanted to make this recording for many years and never had the chance before now. Long before the days of hi-test super-charged rock & roll, there was R&B from Detroit, blues from Chicago, swing and shuffle from Texas, and Cajun rhythm from New Orleans. Many years ago (too many!) I learned about music from all of these sources and more, and I've been threatening to make this project for a long time. A special joy for me is the chance to sing a few of my favorite songs with my own interpretations, and bringing you a picture of where I've been and where I'm going. A simple but effective guiding principle of this recording is found in Col. 3:17..."And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the Father through him." You'll notice time and again these songs reflect a gratitude for what God has done for me and a compelling desire on my part to acknowledge His presence and share with others the possibility that anyone who desires forgiveness and salvation can have it through Jesus!
