Released March 20, 2012 on Escape Effect Records, this is the band's debut EP. The band joined forces, with producer Justin Rimer (12 stones, Breaking Point and countless others), who had previously played with 12 STONES and Breaking Point. There were amazing studio musicians that came in for the record like Justin who played guitars on the record, Michael McManus (12Stones, Sick Puppies(studio) and Saving Abel) on drums and Greg Edmundson (Breaking Point) on bass. The first single, "Rise Above," mixed by Justin and mastered by Brad Blackwood (Hollywood Undead, Eve6, Saving Abel, Flyleaf and many more).
As singer Chris Nichols explains, "The song 'Rise Above' comes from the mind set of how we are in a fight as people, generation and a nation to see a change. I personally have alot of friends who are in the military and I have always admired the unity and the drive and passion they have. And the song comes from that place where together we can accomplish our goals and fight forever through every obstical we face."
Early buzz for the album had been building for some time with the years spent traveling the nation as an independent act sharing the stage with such artist as Flyleaf, Red, Disciple, Thousand Foot Kruth, Pop Evil and countless others.
As singer Chris Nichols explains, "The album comes from experiences and hardships in real life that we all face. But in the same breath, we all strive to find a way to better ourselves and change our past and history and are searching for something, whether it be love, acceptance, or a way to erase our pain or scars. It's all about realizing that we all bleed the same and are trying to find our way in life. Lyrically, the songs capture the essence of life's challenges. As an example, the song 'Echoes' is about the impact of the loss of a relationship and the death of a friend, which all happened in a matter days. It's a song of searching for those answers to what you are going through, the trials we all face and the hardships that are a part of life."
