Back in 1994, Steve Rowe, the founder of the band Mortification, started up his own indie label "Rowe Productions", as a means to help promote underground Christian metal bands, not only in Australia, but all over the world. The first release on the label was a compilation of Australian metal bands called Godspeed - Australian Metal Compilation, which was released that same year.
It features songs from bands such as; Cry Mercy, Mortification, Nu-Humans, Discarnated, Doxology, Deracination, Harbinger, Krioni, Screams Of Chaos, Beheadoth, Rockin' Rabbis, Embodyment, Justice, Metanoia, Ignite, Thrash Puppies, and Rosanna's Raiders.
