Their Debut EP, Shadows Within, was released in June 2016 and has allowed them to share their music in the local scene and on the road. It was produced by award winning producer, Travis Wyrick.
Shadows Within is based on the idea that we all desire to do good, yet struggle with the effects of our selfish desires. Each song depicts a struggle or a story of someone who had to overcome their selfishness and push past the bad things in order to find hope and reconciliation. Alabaster Jar is derived from the story in Luke of the prostitute who went to Jesus for healing. She had to overcome the initial slander from the Pharisees during her confrontation with Jesus because His healing and forgiveness were the only things she valued and needed. Downstream is about moving forward in the midst of great opposition even when you don't know what's around the next corner. Many people get stagnant in their lives and forget that even though it's scary we have to keep moving downstream. Reign in Me is taken from the idea that we tend to hide out from our past and the mistakes that tend to follow us. It helps encourage the listener to confront the issues and take their past as something that helped shape them into who they are today without letting it bring you down. It is a cry to our Creator to come reign in us because while we are undeserving, He can allow us to be useful. Amnesty confronts the dark things that vie for your heart head on while reminding us that God fights for us and helps lead us to victory. We can be hopeful that even though we were marked for death and temptation tries to seize us at every opportunity, that God has provided us with amnesty (pardon) in order that we may be victorious over the temptation. Shadows Within is a story of God's redemption in other people and members of Drive Thru Society. Our ultimate goal is to bring to light some of the things we may be scared to confront and leave listeners with hope that God can take your situation and make it something lovely.
Their song 'Downstream' received national airplay, their single 'Amnesty' spent 6 weeks on the Billboard Christian Rock Charts.
