Released independently in 2010, This is the band's second full-length album.
Has this ever happened to you? You've been rejected just because you are different. You've been counted out because you somehow fail to fit in.
You feel like you have so much to give - so many important contributions you'd like to make! Yet, your talents, passion and vision are constantly overshadowed by your looks, your clothes, your background, or even your music. It seems as if your potential is drowning in ocean of non-desirable traits that signal your unworthiness. The funny thing is that, in those rare occasions when you are given a shot, people seem to admire your talents, your foresight, and your drive. They want them. They wish they had these themselves. It's almost as if they are sad that they lack these traits themselves, because they feel they could certainly put them to much better use.
Are you, then, not justified to sulk and simmer? Are you not entitled to be bitter and resentful? Should we do nothing but stand by and watch others accomplish their dreams as we are pushed to the background?
We can criticize, pass judgment, and be contemptuous as much as we like - in fact, many of us have been at it for years. But has this short-sighted strategy actually made a difference? Has it done anything to change people's minds? It hasn't. But this is what is has achieved: it has made us self-centered. It has made us weak. It has made us lazy. It has allowed us to build a wall of resentment, supported by excuses as we fool ourselves into believing that we are some sort of remnant or resistance. "We will not fit in - we refuse to sell out!"
If you are reading these notes, there's a good chance that you have been misjudged, underestimated or cast aside simply because you don't fit into the molds that society holds so dear. And because you don't fit in, this means you aren't mature or responsible enough. Meanwhile, we fail to realize that it's not only they who are wrong: we have refused to engage our purpose and destiny while we futilely wait for a change of attitude that may never come. We purposely miss every opportunity that comes our way to help those who don't trust us change their mind or to show them that we are mature enough and have the sense of purpose to carry out a mission. Instead of releasing our talents, our vision, or our passion, we hide behind our appearance. We are truly hurt, and truly wronged, but we are unjustifiably passive.
Will you continue to prove them right by just sitting it out because you're mad at them, or will you finally take action and make something out of yourself and what God has given you? We urge you to find a way to fulfill your destiny. We believe you can and must take action and responsibility in fulfilling your purpose and calling without resorting to rebelliousness or revenge. Your gifts are not yours by mistake: God put them there, along with your desires, for a reason. He wants you to stand up and stand out. He wants you to partake in changing the World.
My dearest reader - we love you. God loves you. Love yourself. Forgive. Forget. If you must, ignore. It's time to get up and go!
