Mouth Full Of Nails was Gretchen's debut national release on Rugged Records. Five songs received national and international recognition. The song "Star" was used by by Ford Motor Company in a promotion for the Ranger pickup truck. "Inclined" reached the #2 spot on the world acoustic charts on MP3.com. Gretchen was one of six finalists in Billboard Magazine's 2005 IMWS Competition with the songs "Ordinary Girl", "Diamonds", and "Mouth Full of Nails" all receiving honorable mention in the rock/alternative category.
