The first full-length album from Kentucky-based metal project Old Thunder. You Will Be Hated explores themes of the suffering of the martyrs from the early Church up through the Protestant Reformation as well as the tension of the depravity of man in contrast to the justice of God.
You Will Be Hated has two different "sides": Tracks 1-4 are more aggressive and draw influence from crust punk and death metal, while still holding a firm sludge influence. The last three tracks branch into solemn death/doom territory.
The album was written from 2015-2017.
