Not to be confused with the doom metal band Solitude Aeturnus, this Christian group played hard, fast , death-core music of the same genre but with evangelistic intent. The band included John Gibson on vocals and guitar, Matt Miller on bass, and Josh Murray on drums. Aeturnus liked to play in bars and clubs where they could reach unbelievers with an invitation to receive Christ. "Our lyrics are dark and we address dark issues," Gibson told HM magazine. "We try to convey that a life without Christ is unfulfilled." After the group broke up, Gibson continued to make music with a group called Dirge.
