Army Of Three

Army of Three is the fastest rising band in Malaysia. This alternative rock band originally has their background as Christian musicians in church, swings to the other extreme in their musical style but not deviating from their faith and thus Army of Three means the Triune God of their faith though their band members comprises of four wacky but good nature young persons.
The band members are Jeffrey, (vocals, guitar), Darren (bass, backing vocals - the screamer), Edmond (drums), and Alex (guitar, backing vocals). Known for their stage presence in total submergence of their style (a few accidental slips and falls were often deemed as part their choreography), nevertheless, this alternative rock band has every approval of parents on their music and lyric, heavy metal minus the anger, wild but never destructive. In their energetic live show, the three guitarists in their delivery often build on the metallic rock sensibilities of Jeffrey's songwriting, and, rounded out by Alex on the soaring lead, driven by hard-charging guitar and hard hitter drummer Edmond. Needless to say, Edmond the drummer is the "bear", with his physical size and hard hit he is nicknamed as teddy bear among the band members because of his softness of personality as a teddy bear. Their sentimental ballads carry the same impact but melting hearts along their groove.
Army of Three first gained mainstream recognition after the inclusion of their first single Blind Me To See soaring to the top in the shortest time any other independent band has achieved in radio chart of two major radio station that solely dedicated to search young new bands. Their second single Take Me Away has the same destiny to woo listeners even without seeing them live, even though their live performance is anytime more sellable.
According to Jeffrey, the name "Army of Three" is a breastplate they will always bear. In their earlier days of establishing their musical style, it was not totally considered "normal" in the circle of Christian Faith. But their statement of faith is in the name because they believe true faith is not how you sound like or look like, but what you stand on, believe and behave. They have proven themselves since their band formed in 2005 to win the Levi's Battle of the Band.
Star Maker Records, a division of Star Maker, their first EP Blind Me To See is being In their Levi's debut, Army of Three was spotted by Amelia Tan, and signed to her Star distributed by Star Maker. The EP contains all the original song of the band.
In early 2007 Army of Three released their EP debut, Blind Me To See representing the band's overall predominantly indie rock sound that helped launch the band to mainstream popularity. This could be attributed to the fact that the EP was not low budget recording that has the top notch music engineers behind the scene. The Army of Three has been touring Malaysia and Thailand since 2007, following the release of Blind Me To See.

Army Of Three has been actively involved in a number of humanitarian causes, including ONE ROCK (Anti drug Outdoor Concert) and WORLD PEACE Rock Concert.
The Annual Malaysia Revival Songwriting Competition has seen Army of Three supporting the event and local music industry by special appearance and as residential band in 2006.
