Brave The Pain

Country: United States of America
Genre: Alternative Rock

Brave The Pain was formed in late 2008 by Charlotte area musicians Randall Sehvan Hargrove and Darren Miracco. They hit Atlanta area studios soon afterwards and began the recording process with friend Bevan Davies (Danzig/ MonstrO/ Static-X/ Bloodsimple/ Comes With The Fall) tracking the drums. The band then found exactly what they were seeking in the talents of front man Jason Clay Mull, who joined the group in 2010. Mull was actually a member of the US Olympic Speed Skating team, competing in the 2006 Winter Games before making the jump to music. He fronted Charlotte area bands 40 Day Reign and Altared Remedy before hooking up with Hargrove to round out Brave The Pain. Hargrove has been on the underground Carolina scene for years as a guitarist/ vocalist for a wide range of acts anywhere from Melody Burke (daughter of legendary soul singer Solomon Burke) to metal band Trip Element. He also fronted a highly successful Alice In Chains tribute band Sickman before finally beginning his own original project. The bass of Darren was heard through the Charlotte area in his former bands Roxic and Pains Embrace for years in the early 2000's. The final piece to the quartet was found in drummer Mark Banks (Restless Oblivion/ Wells Of Elim/ Last Breath Of August) in 2011. Banks aggressive style and play was a perfect fit for BTP's driving but melodic technical sound. With such influences as Shannon Larkin, Cory La Quay, Matt Traynor and others, Banks brings energy to BTP's stage shows that has already gotten the band noticed locally as a premiere live band.
