Corpse

Country: United States of America
Genre: Death Metal

Joe Cox and Jeff Hoskins started Corpse in 1992 because of a love for God and Death Metal. Their first 3 song demo was recorded in Owensboro, Kentucky in February of 1993 and attracted the attention of ART Records. They then recorded some songs for ART on a demo called "You Must Die" which never got released. Corpse disbanded shortly after and reformed in 1996 with former members and friends. Joe Cox had moved away and couldn't join, unfortunately, which resulted in a different sound and direction. They recorded a 6 song demo which got them signed to Cling Records. In between, they recorded a 3 song demo for Cling to hear their new sound. The resulting CD was "From The Grave" in 1997. Also, they had one song called "Dead To The World" on a compilation CD on Rowe Productions called "Massive Frequency Overload". Once again, they disbanded shortly after their last show in Nashville, Tennessee on New Years Eve 1998/99. Many years have gone by and the original Corpse members have decided to play music they love. In 2013 the band put out an EP on Mayrterdom Records called "Among The Dead" with the line-up of Joe Cox on guitar, Kirk Jones on bass and Jeff Hoskins on drums and vocals.
