Crushead
Country: Germany
Genre: Alternative Rock/Rap Rock
Formed in 1999 in Germany, Crushead played a mix of crossover and hard rock. The group called their style "Crunch 'n' Roll".
After gaining stage and concert experience in large audiences between 2000 and 2002 with major musical acts such as Disciple, Snubnose and Savior Machine, the band subsequently became famous through festivals such as the Ennepetal Christmas Rock Night (CRN) and Owener Rock night known in the German-speaking Christian music scene. Crushead connects with their music the message of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
As the drummer David Löffler spent a year in Mali, Markus Kern (Capewalk) jumped in and played on all songs of the album "Space Between", except for "Yes". When Matthias Ebinger and Martin Scherrmann were unable to play the guitar, Tobias Lampert or Hannes Butzer came into action.
As in 2005, Crushead participated in another Meet-Ya Tour in March 2008. Crushead were on tour for nine days with bands D: Projekt and Verra Cruz, German pop singer KAT and Andreas Boppart. In the same year, the band released a "10 years Crushead DVD", which was filmed at Rock in the Ruins in the Forchtenberg ruin.
On September 6, 2008 Crushead gave their farewell concert at the Jump Rock Festival in Metzingen.
In 2012, Crushead first appeared again at the Jumprock Festival in Metzingen. In 2014, Crushead performed at the 20th anniversary of the Balinger Rock Festival.
