Deep As Bones

From incarceration and addiction to redemption, sobriety and righteous living: Christian hard rock band, Deep As Bones, was formed in Arizona State Prison Complex, Florence in 2016. All three writers on the album were in the same prison yard together. Rodney Scott Pieres, John Fabricius and Walter Willis wrote 10 songs together in the prison band room.
Rodney Scott Pieres came up with the band name to honour his Christian roots, as "the word of God is as deep as bones."
In 2021, vocalist, Rodney Scott Pieres and his wife, Carrie Bradley started a nonprofit called IdentiFreed, in which 100% of the proceeds benefit those affected by human trafficking through their weekly outreach work with a team of volunteers.
"We want to inspire the world with our heavy, well-written and thoughtful music, focusing on the broken and addicted to try and bring some hope - and headbanging!", states frontman, Rodney Scott Pieres.
