Eloi

A former American Christian thrash/ groove metal quartet. Founded in Dallas, Texas in 1993. They recorded two full-length studio releases, though by 2000, the band had folded. Their last release was 1999's "Mold" on the Cross Rhythms Music label.
Eloi's debut, Degrees of Freedom, landed them the title of "best Christian heavy groove band," as well as earning them a spot as HM magazine's 1997 "favorite unsigned band."
The band is named after Saint Eligius, the Catholic patron saint of goldsmiths and other metalworkers.
