Exodus A.D.
Country: United States of America
Genre: Hard Rock
Before the classic heavy metal of Christian rockers Haven, there was Exodus A.D.. Exodus A.D. is the early hard rock and metal beginnings Kevin Ayers played on long before Haven.
It was 1976 and four teenagers from a little town in South Jersey got together to form a "Christian rock band" called Exodus A.D..
Inspired by early Christian recording artists like Larry Norman and Phil Keaggy, yet musically influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, KISS, and Black Sabbath, they began to invent their own version of Christian rock. Over the course of four years, they wrote thirty songs or so and toured throughout New Jersey, but broke up in 1980 while still writing a few tunes together until 1982 when they went their separate ways.
