Feezel

Country: United States of America
Genre: Alternative Rock

In September of 1998, Gene, Doug, and John Feasel formed the band Feezel, after spending four years with a popular regional act known as Valiant. The Valiant years were no waste of time as they were honing their musical skills, learning what it takes to tour, developing a stage performance, and building a fan base that would eventually follow them in to their new venture as Feezel. That same month Feezel performed their first set at Lazarus Fest in Logansport, IN.
Feezel hit the studio just five months after the band's inception. Engineer Tim Bushong, (Lovewar / Channelsurfers) turned the knobs to help Feezel produce an impressive three-song demo. More than 500 copies of that disc were sold across the Midwest. The song Reprobate, from that demo, was included on a battle of the bands disc, by Rugged Records that printed more than 18,000 units. During the next year, Feezel developed their sound and show while performing multiple dates each month.
Feezel had developed quite a fan base in their hometown of Indianapolis, IN but because of their busy touring schedule, the brothers had a following throughout the Midwest. All of this touring had allowed Feezel to share the stage with bands such as Skillet, Disciple, Stavesacre, Spoken, Bleach, All Star United, Ghotti Hook, and the list goes on and on.
Time was due for the brothers to release a full-length album, and so they returned to Tim Bushong to capture their sound on disc. Twelve tracks and several months later, Feezel released an independent record, and was picked up by M8 Distribution. Feezel continued to shop demos hoping to catch the attention of recording executives. All the hard work paid off in March of 2001 when the brothers signed a record deal with True Tunes, a division of Rhythmhouse Records. The result was the national release of their album life moves on, which hit the stores August 14, 2001.
The brothers put everything into their live performance and the energy they had on stage was incredible. One thing that was truly evident was their passion. Everything from their performance to their lyrics to their actions both on and off stage generated that passion. Their goal was to represent Christ and demonstrate the love He has for other people. A positive response was received regardless of the venue.
