Labeling their music as "uplifting and unforgettable that inspires the listener to continue to hope and love", From Day One (formerly Dark From Day One) possesses a sound that is breathtaking and hypnotic, with a unique mixture of the different styles of rock combining them to make music that touches deep within the hearts and souls of people, allowing for listeners of many different genres to enjoy. After creating Dark From Day One in Russellville, Arkansas in 2006, a group of friends set out to discover their music career, playing shows and entertaining their fans. Dark From Day One has had articles covering their music in Center Stage, Hit Predictor, and French Metal.
Fall of 2008, Dark From Day One entered a contest to have their music placed on a Lions Gate film "The Punisher: War Zone". Dark From Day One came out ranking in the top 20 out of 4,300 national bands and dubbed an Official Judges Favorite for the contest. In 2009 the band continued to play shows and work on their songwriting and in August 2009, Dark From Day One played their largest show to date, "Edgefest" with KoЯn, Mudvayne, Black Label Society, Static-X and Bury Your Dead among other famous bands. They also won battle for Edgefest 6 in May of 2010 and shared the stage with even more rock legends; Godsmack, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch and more.
The band released their debut full length album "The Fire Within" in early 2010, and soon after that Dark From Day One signed up with renowned US Management and Artist Development Firm, The Inner Light Agency (ILA). "I'm very excited about this partnership and proud to be working with Dark From Day One," says Damon Moreno of ILA. "The band is seriously focused and driven. I foresee great things for them." In 2011 Dark From Day One signed a global distribution deal with Universal Music Group/Mondo Tunes/JMD Records and once again won The Battle For Edgefest 7 and opened up for acts such as Three Days Grace, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Skillet, Theory Of A Deadman, Halestorm, and Sevendust on April 23, 2011.
Their first single "New Addiction" can currently be purchased for download on Rockband Network for Xbox 360.They teamed up with Howard Rosen (former VP of Marketing for Warner Bros. Records, signed up KISS, and Foghat), during the summer of 2012, Dark From Day One completed a 9 week college radio campaign involving 350 colleges across The United States including Alaska. Dark From Day One's record "The Fire Within" remained in the top 25 on college stations throughout America while remaining #23 in Staten Island, NY for 9 weeks straight. Dark From Day One also toured the West and Midwest twice.
Dark From Day One recorded their sophomore record titled "Love Without Pain" which was released in the fall of 2014. The first single "All I Can Say" debuted July 8, worldwide via iheart radio/100.3 The EDGE, and KDJE. During 2015, Dark From Day One took the music life a little slower, more staying at home with their families, focusing on writing and recording another album, dominating studios in Knoxville and Dallas, while continuing rocking the local stages opening for the musicians, Saving Abel, Saliva, StarSet, Machine Heads, Black Tide, and one of the last appearances made by Wayne Static from Static X.
The band changed their name to "From Day One" in 2017.
