Jamie Rowe (born April 7, 1970 as Earl Wilson Rowe, Jr.) is the lead vocalist of the Christian hard rock band, Guardian. His recording career began with the amateur band, Tempest. Billed as "J.R. Rowe," Jamie and his brother, Mikk Rowe, founded the former Christian Glam metal band, Tempest, in the late 1980's. After Tempest, Jamie joined the Los Angeles based band Guardian. Guardian became one of the most successful bands in Christian music throughout the 90's. He became widely known as a premier vocalist and performer. Jamie has recorded numerous albums resulting in an impressive track record of hit songs at Christian radio, retail success, and major, worldwide touring.
