Kerygma Child
Country: United States of America
Genre: Hard Rock
Kerygma Child was a Christian Rock band in the early to mid 90's that was formed at Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia. The band played until 1995 across the Eastern US and finished its last tour by going on a 2 week missions trip to London England. The band was a mix of heavy rock, eclectic lyrics, and a passion to encourage people in the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. Originally formed as "Excathedra" in the spring of 1990, the name was changed to "The Vision" in the fall of 1990. In 1993, the band name was changed again to "Kerymga Child". There were several line-up changes between 1990 and 1995, but the band's final lineup was Lance Smith on vocals, Josh Sampson on Guitars, Kevin Molway on drums, and Jeremy West on bass. Kerygma is the Greek word for "proclamation" or "preaching" in the New Testament. The band members are currently strewn across the US and other parts unknown.
