Ransom

Ransom was a female-fronted Christian metal band from California. The group was organized by bass player Michael Preciado and first placed a song called "Sin Killer" on an influential compilation album, California Metal, in 1988. Lead singer Lisa Faxon gave the group a sound like that of a harder version of Heart. The group used a studio drummer for their sophomore release (Joseph Galletta of Shout) and also got assistance from Lanny Cordola, Oz Fox (from Stryper), and Larry Melby (from Liaison).
