From New Jersey U.S.A. Melodic Hard Rock/Metal Rivera Bomma was formed in late 2000 Named after founding musicians, Lead vocalist John Bomma (previously with Metal Blades recording artist Hades) and guitar virtuoso Rod Rivera. Their strong guitar driven debut album, Invisible Force, Released independently by the band in July 2001 was received well by the underground metal scene.
In Summer of 2002, Theodories Miras From Greece contacted Rivera Bomma about re-releasing "Invisible Force" world wide through Secret Port Records. Invisible Force received favorable reviews around the globe that lead Rivera Bomma to embark touring on Head-lining and co-headlining clubs, churches, festivals and coliseums with live performances in North America , Puerto Rico , Mexico and South America, while also promoting to the European and Japanese market via Television and Radio from 2003-2005 . "Hard Rock with a Message" tour was a rock and roll success that helped Rivera Bomma for the next chapter of their careers, to write and record their follow album "I Am God". In winter of 2005, Jack Frost ex-Savatage and guitarist for Seven Witches and Bronx Casket Co. introduced Rivera Bomma to Mausoleum Records, after hearing the impressive album-opening title-track in the studio where both bands were working.
"I am God" was released world wide in February 2006 in Europe and South America by Mausoleum Records and distributed in the U.S. by The End Records and Japan by Soul Food Entertainment.
"Riding High" was the first single of "I am God" which featured Rivera Bomma's first video. The band toured the US and Latin America in support of "I am God" from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, the New Jersey band started writing new music for their next album.
In winter 2010, Rivera Bomma began recording drum sessions in Port Jervis, New York. Back on the drums was original drummer Ed Faust who introduced Mike LePond of progressive metal giants, Symphony X to Rivera Bomma. After meeting Mike, there was an immediate personal and musical bond that developed between Rod, John and Mike that lead to Mike recording all bass parts on the third album entitled "Infinite Journey of Souls". In 2011, through the ups and downs of the music business, Rivera Bomma went back to the studio to finish recording and perfecting their heaviest melodic, darkest, and best album to date. Rivera Bomma released the majestic album in late 2013.
