Scott Springer
Country: United States of America
Genre: Hard Rock
For thirteen years, Scott Springer was the voice and soul inspiration for the band HALO. Produced by Grammy and Dove Award winning Producers John and Dino Elefante, Halo's self-titled debut album and their follow up, "Heaven Calling," made waves on Christian Rock Radio with a total of 4 number 1 songs. With Scott as front man, lead vocalist, and preacher, Halo began a ministry that saw many young people come to the Lord and make life-changing decisions.
In 1993, Scott stepped away from his HALO duties to record a solo project entitled "Hello Forever." Again, produced by John and Dino Elefante, "Hello Forever" had 4 songs reach number 1 on Christian Hit Radio. With more of a "pop-rock" sound, Scott began to take his music, not only to teenagers, but to young adults and even parents in an effort to open communication between youth and their parents who cared about what their teens were listening to. With a message of reconciliation, Scott continued the ministry that HALO had begun. This solo ministry continued to be evangelistic and powerful, yet added the flavor of "family communication," as Scott is the father of two boys and one daughter and realizes the importance of the family.
As Scott began touring with "Hello Forever," he took a part-time Student Minister position at a small church in order to have a solid home-base to apply what he was learning, and to encourage and teach youth about the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ. This led to a call on Scott's life to full-time youth ministry. As Scott moved into a full-time position at a church, he took a break from the road and was ordained as a minister and began teaching and evangelizing youth in his community. He became chaplain of the local football and basketball teams, and even an assistant basketball coach in an effort to connect with youth who were not a part of the church.
