Snubnose
Country: Germany
Genre: Punk Rock/Hard Rock
Founded in 1993, Snubnose was a Christian metal band from Ludwigsburg. The band was originally called "The Circumcised". Their music style they called themselves "melodic groove core".
In 1997, the band renamed itself because fans who wore T-shirts from "The Circumcised" in English-speaking countries, were repeatedly pointed out that the band name colloquially was a vulgar expression and not the actual German translation. "The Circumcised" was, according to band members, a metaphor for a spiritual attitude. The new name "Snubnose" (German: "snub nose") was given no meaning.
The band broke up after a farewell concert on September 23, 2001. Frontman Martin Schabel sang afterwards with the band Tölz, Benjamin Pozsgai joined the band "Opposition Of One" until they disbanded in 2008.
