Genre: Alternative Rock
Stonehigh was a Rock/Melodic Hard Rock band based out of West Palm Beach, FL. Throughout the years, Stonehigh has suffered many battles but their heart's cry has and will always be: never give up and never give in. In 2005, visionary Steve Beaulieu and long-time friend Matt Hanna decided it was time to get serious about achieving their dream. A phone call to fellow guitarist-turned-bassist Zack Bonchack and a meeting with "The Machine" Dave Bolen, given the nickname because of his flawless timing, solidified the rhythm section which would later define the band's unique sound. After two hard years of writing and performing, the band longed for more. A reform was in order. Although still friends, Hanna chose to devote more time to his walk with God, thus leaving the band to pursue work at his church. Crushed but not destroyed, Stonehigh wasted no time finding a replacement. With a new beginning and a chance to change, Beaulieu decided to drop his 14 year old passion as a guitarist and focus on working the microphone. After an arduous audition process, Jon Ross and Wilburn Taylor were chosen to drive the band's extensive arsenal as well as become a vital part of writing what would soon be their debut album, "This Calling".
Over the next year, and over 75 shows later, having shared the stage with such acts as Three Days Grace, Chevelle, Papa Roach, Skillet, Saving Abel, Pillar, and many more, the band started a paradigm shift that would soon lead to the end.
