We Wish You A Metal Xmas And A Headbanging New Year is a compilation album of Christmas songs played by an all-star collection of hard rock and metal artists. Each track puts together a unique supergroup playing a traditional Christmas selection.
It was released October 14, 2008 on Armoury Records, distributed by Eagle Rock Entertainment and produced by Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen.
The album was put together by Wendy Dio along with Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen with an all-star cast of singers and musicians from the world of hard rock and metal including members of Foo Fighters, Queensryche, Dio, Alice Cooper, Motorhead, ZZ Top, Dokken, Kiss, Ratt, Styx and Toto just to name a few.
Alice's track "Santa Claws is Coming to Town" was listed in the top 10 Rock and Metal Christmas Songs!
The King of Shock Rock recruits a proud list of talent to help him conquer another holiday favorite.
Alice manages to take a beloved classic and turn it into an eerie anthem on "Santa Claws is Coming to Town." Seeing that he's backed by John 5, Vinny Appice and Billy Sheehan, it's no surprise that the outcome is a standout.
