Ark Of The Covenant

Ark Of The Covenant

Music: Eli Prinsen And Michael Phillips
Lyrics: Eli Prinsen

(Lead Michael Phillips)

40 Days And 40 Nights
Moses Spent With God On Mount Sinai
The Ten Commandments Given To Him
And Instructions To Build What To Carry Them In
From Acacia Wood Covered In The Purest Gold

Chorus:
Ark - Of - The Covenant
Earthly Throne - Voice Of God
Above And Through Cherubim Wings

Once A Day For Seven Days
The Priests Carried The Ark Around Jericho
Covered To Protect Those Who Carried It
Sounding Seven Trumpets Of Ram's Horns
And With A Shout The Walls Came Crumbling Down

Chorus:

Ark - Of - The Covenant
Power - Beneath A Veil
Just One Look Could Cause Instant Death

The Philistines Managed To Capture The Ark
And Misfortune Followed Wherever They Went
Smitten With Tumors And With Plagues Of Rats
With Offerings Of Gold They Gave The Ark Back.

(Solo Roy Z)

The Temple Destroyed In 586 BC
The Ark Becomes Lost In The Sands Of Time
Legend And Folklore And Mysteries Abound
Multiple Claims Of It's True Whereabouts

Some Feel It's A Matter Of Faith
The Ark's Gone So Without Seeing We Shall Believe
And Now We Have A New Covenant
The Blood Of Jesus And The New Testament
