Anthems Of Warfare

This is an EP released independently by the band at the end of 2024. The band released one song at a time (as a single), every two weeks until all seven songs were released. First single "Anthem Of Warfare" was released November 7, 2024 and the last single "Shine Like The Stars" was released December 31, 2024.
"Greetings to you from Pennsylvania in America with some news for you about our new project called Anthems Of Warfare.
"After we released our last studio project called Sons Of The Kingdom in 2018, I began seeking the LORD on the subject matter for a new project. He directed me to write on warfare from Old Testament stories and write songs of worship as the LORD went to war on His people's behalf.
My friend, Zarko Atanasov from Skopje, Macedonia, worked with me to create this amazing artwork. The Angel of the Lord is a central figure all throughout the Old Testament and is a type of the pre-incarnate Christ. The open heaven portal above Him unveils a glimpse into dimensions that carnal man does not see. The Angel of the Lord stands blowing the shofar and no created being can resist Him. This is what the Bible teaches us.
This is the subject matter of this new 7 song theatrical power metal project. There are songs featuring stories of Abraham, Gideon, Deborah the warrior prophet, Jael (who drove a tent peg through the skull of an enemy king), Solomon, Daniel, David's mighty men and others. Our desire is to refresh your love for the Old Testament, which points the reader to Jesus Christ, the coming Messiah.
Over the last several years, Rod Feltman (founding member, lead guitarist and recording/mixing and mastering) would send me many, many song ideas, and I would chose one and started pouring over scripture. I apologize for the length of time it takes to write a song. But I am ‘doing life' like all of you and it's hard to just ‘bang it out'. I don't write like that. In fact, I have to immerse myself in a character before I can write. For instance, I listened to 1st & 2nd Samuel almost every day for three months before writing "Mighty Warrior", which is the song about David's mighty men. It takes time to write a song with deep anointing from the Lord. Founding member and bassist, Chuck Turner, also plays on this project".
