Progressively good

Fall of Echoes is a progressive rock band made up of vocalist Shane Lankford and bassist Bill Yost of Orphan Project and Rob Perez and Rick Mals of Visual Cliff. Their debut album, Red Tree, is truly a prog/rock lovers delight. Being a progressive rock and metal freak, I am totally excited about this album. Orphan Project and Visual Cliff are 2 of my favorite bands so this is an honor. As soon as I got the CD I loaded it into my iPod and have been listening to it for several weeks now. This album is full of various musical flavors and is very complex. Though there are a couple of guitar virtuosos in this band, they stay away from the total shred. Now don't get me wrong, the musicianship in this album is superb, but with Shane's vocals, this is the total package! The production is definitely top notch. This album is a true classical masterpiece and will set the standard for modern prog/rock. I think the only downside is that the album's complexity and diversity may make it hard for the average rocker to get into. The upside, prog/rockers will have a new favorite album. I highly recommend it.
