Swing Swang Swung

Swing, Swang, Swung is the fourth studio album of Christian rock band Guardian. It was released in 1994 by Pakaderm Records.
The album takes the band into experimental grounds in folk and acoustic music. However, it was harshly criticized by fans for leaving behind their rock and metal roots.
For many, Swing Swang Swung was a radical musical departure for Guardian, a primarily acoustic recording coming straight on the heels of their most successful album to date, the hard rocking Miracle Mile. The true story is that the band had hoped to release an acoustic EP called Wire & Wood in between Fire & Love and Miracle Mile but incessant touring and label requests for a full length album shelved that idea for a time. When the band relocated to Nashville from Los Angeles in the winter of 1993, the members took a brief touring break and continued to work on their more acoustic based songs. The band's producers, John and Dino Elefante soon followed the band on their move to Nashville and the band holed up in John Elefante's garage to record the record while the Elefante brothers began construction of their soon to be famous Nashville recording facility, The Sound Kitchen.
