Redline is an aggressive rock band that hails from Nashville, TN... Drawing from diverse musical influences ranging from Failure and Radiohead to STP to Tool and Faith No More leaves them with a musical personality that is very much their own... Redline is the second project started by brothers David Mast (vocals) and Adam Redding (guitars) from Southern California in 1996... After a couple of member changes and the relocation to Nashville, the band recorded their self-titled debut for Freedom Records in 1998... With a 16 year old guitarist, Redline played as much locally and on weekends as possible, but was very limited as far as touring the album... Following Adam's graduation from high school in 1999, the group recorded and released 2000's Supernova, also on Freedom Records, then took to the road... The past year and a half has seen Redline live in 31 different states, in Canada, on TBN Network television, and on NBC television, heard 7 radio singles hit the Christian rock charts and college rock radio, and witnessed the band's growth from 2 brothers' project into a full-time rock and roll band with the permanent additions of Sean Clark on bass and Jaren Johnston on drums... Adam had held the drumming position for Sean's local band, Valid, while the 2 of them finished high school together. Then Sean moved from Valid's guitar to Redline's bass... Jaren, a veteran of many Nashville bands, had played numerous shows on the same bills as Adam and David's 1st band, Seven, and the 3 had kept in touch over the years until Redline's drums spot was up for grabs... As a group, they strive to write, record, and perform music fueled by thick moody guitars, honest, poetic lyrics, and a vast array of musical moods, textures, and emotions...
David and Adam went on to form Echocast.
