Classic Christian Rockers Fear Not have signed on with Roxx Records to release their brand new EP entitled "For The Wounded Heart". This EP will showcase the first new recordings from Fear Not since the release of the bands one and only full length self-titled album in 1993, over 25 years ago. This year after celebrating the 25th anniversary with a beautifully done reissue of that debut album on both vinyl and limited edition CD, the Christian rock community was buzzing about Fear Not! That buzz caught the attention of the 4 original members, and the creative juices and chemistry of those 4 guys was so great it ultimately led them to writing and recording 5 brand new and amazing tunes.
Featuring all 4 original members including original vocalist Larry Worley, on guitar and backing vocals, Chris Howell on guitar, Rod Romero on bass and Gary Hanson on the drums. If that was not amazing enough to have all 4 original members recording again, you're in for a treat as they also bring in to the fold a brand new addition with lead vocalist Eddie Green who helps take this new EP to a whole new level with his metal vocal stylings. Eddie is a seasoned, touring vocalist who most recently fronted Even The Dogs, who had a charting single titled 'Ghost'..

Lineup

Eddie Green (Even The Dogs) - Lead Vocals
Larry Worley (Love Life) - Guitar/Backing Vocals
Chris Howell (Red Sea) - Guitar
Rod Romero (Love Life) - Bass
Gary Hanson (Love Life) - Drums

Reviews For "For The Wounded Heart"

I Got Some!!!
by tombie on 2/13/2019

I cannot believe that it has been over 25 years since Fear Not has released their quintessential self-titled album back in 1993. To this day it remains in my top five all-time favorite albums. When I heard that they were working on a new album, let's just say that my excitement level was red lining and I was about to explode. I was beyond ecstatic and was hoping it was not a rumor. Well, here they are with the next chapter in their musical journey and the release of the highly anticipated EP, "The Wounded Heart". The album contains five songs and lead vocalist Larry Worley has stepped down from the mic and handed it over to Eddie Green (Even The Dogs). Larry is still part of the band but is now handling guitar and backing vocals. Honestly, when I first heard this, I would be lying if I said that I was not utterly disappointed but then again, it's Fear Not. Larry had sent me two songs to check out before the album was complete and I was totally surprised. I love Even The Dogs but wasn't sure what to expect with Green handling the vocals... but WOW!
So the first single was Don't Want None (Come Get Some) and what else can I say... It was the number 1 requested song here on D2S for quite some time, killer song with some great hooks!
That is actually the first song on the album and if the rest of it is anything like this, yeah... I'm gonna LOVE IT!!!
Well, the second song is "Shadows Fade". It is another mid-temp rocker and I have to say, Eddie does an awesome job and fits right in. Great song and it is a contender for one of my favorites off of the album. Next is "Carry Me". It's more balladic and has that true Fear Not sound and feel. Now I am feeling more at ease with the change and my anticipation has been met with a gratifying release. Green has a nice raspiness to his voice, much like Larry did... great song.
Love Is Alright was actually an unreleased track that was featured on the re-release of their self-titled album and it is alright!!! OK, it's great! It is a mid-temp song with a cool groove to it.
Last song is "Shipwrecked Hypocrite". Larry told me that this was his favorite song so I am giving this one some extra special attending. It is a little slower tempo song with a really cool groove. I can see.. er, uh... hear why it would be his favorite. May be mine as well.
Overall, this album does not disappoint in the least. Excellent production, tone, songwriting. Only downside is... I NEED MORE! Five songs are not enough! Come on Larry!!! Ok, seriously though, this album was well worth the wait and I cannot wait to hear what they have up their sleeves for the next album... hopefully it doesn't take over twenty-five years haha. I know Larry is reading this so I have to pick on him. Love ya my friend...
